Key Learnings
Last Mile Logistics Issues – To finalize the documentation, I had to work with the local bank and Common Service Correspondents (CSC). During the second meeting, I saw high demand for enrolment, but it became evident that the supply couldn’t keep up. It took nearly a full workday to enroll the 19 workers from the second meeting. Additionally, the bank’s documentation process had its own delays due to transfers from the Milaap (crowdfunding platform).
CSC – One realization was that if we had a CSC in our neighborhood, the process could have been faster. There are clerks in the neighborhood with limited responsibilities, so I tried to convince one to become a CSC. I explained the benefits, including being affiliated with a government-sponsored scheme and earning a decent income from the ready pool of enrolments. I am waiting for a response from the clerk.
Revised Marketing Materials – The limited response to the current marketing materials showed the need for redesigning and reconfiguring them to be more appealing to the audience. Fresh ones were created in Hindi to improve accessibility.
