Tasks Accomplished and Key Learnings
Building upon the success of last week’s enrollment meeting, today’s goal was to ensure that the workers from the previous meeting have completed all necessary accounts and enrollments in the Project Suraksha schemes, as well as onboarding new potential household workers.
The impact of the previous meeting was significant, as it effectively spread awareness of the government social security program through word of mouth. This method of outreach, targeted towards domestic workers who have limited access to technology, proved to be highly effective.
Within a week, we were able to enroll the 12 workers from the first meeting and attract 19 additional workers. Through the sharing of details from one worker to another, the second enrollment meeting was successful in bringing in a motivated group of individuals, including their family members, eager to join the schemes for financial security.
I was overjoyed by the response and felt a sense of fulfillment in giving back to the community through my passion for finance. Enrolling the workers and witnessing their reactions, knowing they are now on a path to financial stability, truly embodied the spirit of Project Suraksha.
Solution
Therefore, I believe that a door-to-door data collection approach would be effective. This method can guarantee more precise responses from a wider range of participants. It’s understandable that this method may take longer, but relying solely on online surveys has proven to be too slow. To further drive marketing efforts, I plan to create a pamphlet to advertise the project.
For Next Week
- Closing the process for the first batch of 31 workers by issuing the necessary documentation
- Finding traction with more set of relevant population
